What precautions should be taken when welding PE pipes in summer?

1. Inspect all components of the welder to ensure proper functioning, paying particular attention to measuring the heating plate temperature before use to confirm it falls within the standard range (220°C ± 10°C). 2. Adjust the heating plate temperature while accounting for the impact of ground surface temperature and ambient temperature on the actual plate temperature, preventing the combined actual temperature (ground surface temperature + ambient temperature + heating plate display temperature) from exceeding 230°C. When ambient temperature exceeds 38°C and construction occurs on asphalt pavement, adjust heating plate temperature to 190°C–200°C. When ambient temperature is below 38°C and construction occurs in open terrain, adjust heating plate temperature to 200°C–210°C. 3. Inspect the misalignment rate before pipe butt welding. The misalignment rate must not exceed 10% of the pipe wall thickness. A misalignment rate exceeding 10% of the pipe wall thickness will result in a contact surface at the weld joint smaller than the pipe wall thickness, compromising the welding effectiveness.

1. Inspect whether all components of the welder are functioning normally. Pay particular attention to measuring the heating plate temperature of the welder before use to ensure it is within the standard temperature range (220°C ± 10°C).

2. Adjust the heating plate temperature considering the impact of ground surface temperature and ambient temperature on the actual plate temperature. Prevent the actual heating plate temperature (ground surface temperature + ambient temperature + heating plate display temperature) from exceeding 230°C. When ambient temperature exceeds 38°C and construction is performed on asphalt pavement, the heating plate temperature may be adjusted to 190°C–200°C. When the ambient temperature is below 38°C and construction is performed outdoors, the heating plate temperature may be adjusted to 200°C–210°C.

3. Prior to pipe butt welding, inspect the misalignment rate. The misalignment rate must not exceed 10% of the pipe wall thickness. A misalignment rate exceeding 10% of the pipe wall thickness will result in a contact surface at the weld joint smaller than the pipe wall thickness, adversely affecting the welding outcome.
